Rigoberto Madrid, UniFirst - San Diego, California

SAN DIEGO - It is the most coveted of all UniFirst Corporation recognitions. And out of the thousands of UniFirst route sales representatives (RSRs) in the U.S and Canada, Chula Vista resident Rigoberto Madrid Jr. is one of only ten who have earned this distinction for 2014. Named after UniFirst's founder, the Aldo Croatti Award is presented to those RSRs who exemplify unparalleled customer service while retaining 100% of their customers for an entire fiscal year.

Madrid, who works for UniFirst at its San Diego location, delivers work uniforms and facility service products to 158 businesses on a weekly basis throughout the greater San Diego area. He has been with UniFirst for five years.

Headquartered in Wilmington, Mass., UniFirst Corporation (NYSE: UNF) is a leading provider of customized work uniform programs, corporate attire, and facility service products to businesses throughout the U.S. and Canada. Together with its subsidiaries, UniFirst also provides first aid and safety products, and manages specialized garment programs for the cleanroom and nuclear industries.

"It is an honor to have Rigo as part of our service team," says UniFirst district service manager Michael Derry. "Rigo always has a positive attitude and provides excellent customer service, which explains why all of his customers love him Rigo always has a positive attitude and provides excellent customer service, which explains why all of his customers love him Rigo always has a positive attitude and provides excellent customer service, which explains why all of his customers love him."

Madrid attributed winning the award to his father's example. "I feel I was able to win this award because of my father and how hard I saw him work. He always told me that hard work and dedication will pay off." He added, "The support of the great team leaders at my location in San Diego is also extremely important. We all work together to get things done."

Madrid resides in Chula Vista with his wife Elizabeth Pimental, son Rigoberto (age 7) and daughter Emi (age 4). He loves art, drawing, and music, and plays in a rock/reggae band. Madrid is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching the Padres, Chargers and Mexican and USA national teams. He also likes spending time with his family. "I feel blessed and honored to have earned this award. My family is very proud."

As part of his award, Madrid will receive an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the Four Seasons Resort in Maui, Hawaii, in December, where he will be personally recognized by UniFirst president and CEO Ron Croatti and other company executives.
